Nathan Warren Hayes began his journey with photography when he was 16 after taking his first photography class in high school. From there, he became deeply involved within his high school’s yearbook team as a photojournalist where he honed his abilities to document his local community and tell their stories. Upon graduating high school, he had won several top national competitions for his documentary and portrait work. Nathan then went onto study at Loyola Marymount University where he earned a BA in studio arts. Immediately upon graduating from LMU, Nathan began working for the top studio in the nation, Milk Studios, where he worked under the best photographers and production companies in the world on global fashion campaigns before eventually leaving to pursue his own work.
Nathan’s work focuses on telling stories whether it be through fashion, documentary, or portraiture work. His ambition as a photographer is to use imagery as a way to connect people who are different from each other together and to help us understand each other despite our different lived experiences.
